Thank You From Julie

Dear PRR, “When I started losing my hair because of the chemo, I was devastated. I asked God for a sign that I would make it through this battle with breast cancer. A few moments later I re- ceived an email from The Pink Ribbon Riders saying I would be receiving a $500 gift. I can’t thank you enough for giving me a reason to smile during this very difficult journey.”

Thank You from Cheryl

I grew up with the knowledge that my grandmother passed away at 33 from breast cancer, my mother was diagnosed in both breasts when she was 44. So when I turned 61, I assumed I had been spared, after expecting it my whole life!  But, no, that wasn't the case. I was, as is everyone who is diagnosed, shocked and scared. My oldest daughter went through leukemia when she was 8, suffering, yet a trooper during it all! So cancer is a familiar foe, but still terrifying! I have 7 daughters, so I'm hoping to set a good example, as it's considered genetic. I can't begin to thank your organization enough!  I've purchased a swimsuit,  some much needed bras, forms, etc! And paid copays, as well!  What a blessing you have been!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!

I want to thank you so much for the gift card.  I was diagnosed at 39 yrs old last November with invasive ductal breast cancer. The scariest day of my life. Your gift has helped in so many ways and I cannot thank you enough. Going thru 15 weekly chemo treatments and will have 28 radiations. I am strong and will fight and beat this. Thank you for your support.

Thank You From Kristi & Rich

Thank you so much for the generous gift of $500. I have been out of work since my diagnosis in Feb 2017 and my husband also has medical issues causing him to miss a lot of work in the past few months.
The money went directly to our truck payment that has fallen behind. We are so grateful for your help and hopefully will be able to make it to your Michigan Snow Run Banquet someday to support your hard work at helping families like us. Pink Ribbon Riders is an amazing organization that we will forever be grateful to.
Thank you again,
Kristi & Rich Rycerz

Thank You from Barb

Dear Everyone at Pink Ribbon Riders,

When they first tell you – you have breast cancer it feels like a dream (or nightmare), this cannot be happening. Then reality sets in – it really is true.

Then worry and stress and how are you going to pay for anything extra you may need on a limited budget.

Like a ray of sunshine Pink Ribbon Riders steps in and gives help at a much needed time.

I just want to say thank you so much for your gift and all your kindness.

Sincerely, Barb (NY)

Thank You from Lissette

Dear Pink Ribbon Riders,

I would like to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude for your generous gift card!

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in April of 2015, had a double mastectomy in June of 2015, chemo from August 2015-February 2015, then radiation for 25 days straight.  It was a tough year to say the least.

I experienced many emotions, including fear that I would not be around to raise my two children ages 10 and 12.  They took the new extremely hard and it took many months to get them to the place where they weren’t experiencing nightmares or days filled with deep sadness at the thought of me being ill. In addition, the financial burden increased the stress.

At 47 I never thought this would happen to me  – but it did.

Through the Grace of God, strong family and friends and organizations such as yours, I have overcome and today I am cancer free and looking at completing my reconstruction in January.

I am extremely grateful and humbled by your support – it helped alleviate a lot of stress.

Thank you once again.

Sincerely,

Lissette

Thank You from Deborah

Dear Pink Ribbon Riders,

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the $500 gift card I received from your organization!

Nobody wants to hear those dreaded words, “you have cancer”. Upon hearing those words  a flood of emotions comes, followed by the worries associated with treatments, travel, and medical costs, to say the least. Your generosity has helped curb some of my medical expenses associated with the treatments I am undergoing and I am truly grateful!

Your organization is a God sent and I hope you continue to do the wonderful things you do.

Sincerely,
Deborah

I Deborah, would like to thank Pink ribbon for the Visa card of $500.00.
This has helped me so much, due to I have breast cancer and going through a rough time, not working but still have bills to pay.

I have 6 grandkids, and 3 kids that I Adore, it’s been hard for them to see me going thru this, but I am a believer, and I have Strength and Faith with God that I will be a survivor and beat this.

I am so grateful for the support of friends, family and the cancer sites that have helped me along the way.

Deborah, from Minnesota

Thank you from Kim D.

Dear Pink Ribbon Riders:
I will forever be grateful for your generous gift of $500.  Since I received my metastatic Stage IV diagnosis in August, I’ve made one wish, and that was to take my entire family on a tropical vacation.   Your gift is going to help make that dream come true!  We leave in February and 16 of us are going.  This will be the first time for many of my family members to fly and see the ocean!  Giving my family wonderful memories means the world to me!  Thank you!
