3/4/08 This winter has been amazing for the Pink Ribbon Riders,
we started in Minnesota on New Years, traveled to Michigan
and then just this past weekend in Eagle River for the 1st
Annual Wisconsin Snow Run!
We are proud to announce that this first year event
in Wisconsin raise $21,000 and still counting! A total of 93
participants attended and rode up to 137 miles that day! Watch
for more photos and details on the Wisconsin Snow Run page.
Even a video clip from Channel
12 News will be available to watch!
And we are
not done, this weekend, March 1st, we head to New York for
the 4th Annual New York Snow Run and are expecting 300 Participants!
If that’s not enough this volunteer organization wraps
up the “Riding in honor and in memory of those we love” snowmobile “Snow
Run” events in Wyoming on April 5th! Each event has proved
to be not only emotional as we are able to help patients battling
breast cancer with the Pink Ribbon Riders Breast Cancer Fund.
The organization invites a local patient to receive their fund
assistance the night of the event and he or she shares their
story.
The assistance is received in a $500 gift card to help with
medical bills or daily needs, but it also provides a great days
of co-survivors coming together to be able to talk about their
emotions and struggles. Currently Pink Ribbon Riders has helped
over 30 people from states all over the USA. We can not share
names with the public of who we have assisted as they are protected
by HIPPA Rules. This program was established in late fall of
2007 and has been available to anyone in the USA, simply by printing
off an application form on the left side of our home page and
completing the need information.
Pink Ribbon Rider volunteers also seek patients to assist with
the fund in the specific states that we host “Snow Run” events
in. Additionally, many grass roots projects such as survivor
groups are assisted by the Pink Ribbon Riders. We actively search
for programs that are assisting patients directly.

Sad news came to Pink Ribbon
Riders yesterday as we found out the one of our friends Mary
from Minnesota lost her fight against breast cancer yesterday.
We wish to send our love to her sister and family. There are
no words at times like this to comfort this loss. We only hope
that now Mary is pain free and that she will become an angel
that will watch over others and help give them strength.
Mary we will ride in honor and
in memory of you this weekend at the Wisconsin Snow Run. You
will not be forgotten as you have touched so many of us.

01/10/2008 Pink Ribbon Riders Kick-Off Snowmobile Ride for Breast
Cancer - MaxSled.com article by: Shane Zeppelin
It was the weekend between Christmas and New Years. Just winding
down from one holiday and getting ready for the next. Most people
have something going on the holiday weekends, but reserve the
weekend in between for some vacation activities. In Sledder World,
we go sledding. This happened to be the same weekend that the
Pink Ribbon Riders had their second annual Minnesota Snow Run
to raise money to help men and women with breast cancer. The
air was cold and the trails were ripe, so a couple of the Max
Sled Team went along for the ride. Click
here for the full article.
1-3-08 Minnesota Snow Run raises $10K and still counting, a
huge success for to kick off the Snow Run events for 2008!
Thank you to everyone who supported or participated
in the 2nd Annual Minnesota Snow Run.
Special thank you to our presenting sponsors at Arctic
Cat, HMK Snowmobiling, Ingles Performance and Triton Trailers.

was a very exciting day this past Saturday November 24th, for
the Pink Ribbon Riders as the organization received
a public donation from Avalanche Racing team in front of a
crowd of thousands at the WPSA Duluth Nationals Snocross. Avalanche
Racing has been a huge supporter to the cause
for 2 consecutive years and has now outdone themselves! This
year they are teaming with Polaris Industries to auction off
one of their race snowmobiles to benefit the
Pink Ribbon Riders. The auction information will be available

in Duluth
Amsoil Duluth National, Duluth MN. marks the season kick-off
to the exciting, high-flyin, world of the national snocross
racing and Avalanche Racing "came to the show!"
This
year's line-up of Pros are incredibly talented racers and
earning one of the top honors this weekend is our Pro - Mike
Schultz. Mike captured a Pro Super Stock podium, was in the
top five of the Pro Open National and qualified for the Winter
X-Games. A great start within a group of fierce competitors!
He says, "It feels great to be back on the track and I
plan to spend A LOT of time in the winner's circle!" Our
own Kylie Abrahamson (breast cancer awareness spokesperson)
dominated the Pro Women's division finishing 1st in both rounds
and earned a 1st place finish in the final which was one of
the most exciting races of the weekend. She had a tough holeshot
and was in last place in the first corner, but she turned on
the heat and with her usual style and grace drove her way to
the checkered. more...

Arctic Cat and Pink Ribbon Riders
hit the trails for 2007-2008 in “PINK” style with
a second limited edition Pink Ribbon Riders snowmobile for
a pink cause.
Arctic Cat and Pink Ribbon Riders are pleased to announce the
teaming together again this season to create awareness of breast
cancer in both men and women while helping to support those
diagnosed on a direct level. For the second year, Arctic Cat
commits to building a limited edition Pink Ribbon Riders snowmobile.
In the fall of 2006, Arctic Cat and Pink Ribbon Riders met
together to create the first “official
Pink Snowmobile”. The snowmobile created lots of stir in
the motor sports industry in a positive way by letting those
know that this disease does not just affect women, but men also.
Knowing that the impact needed to be strong and the message
to be heard very Loud, Representative of Arctic Cat, Kale Wainer
and Jody McKay, of Pink Ribbon Riders new that teaming together
was the right thing to do.
Keep your eyes peeled for the appearance
of the second edition of this one of a kind, “Pink Sled
for a Pink cause” to be seen at the upcoming Snow Shows
this fall. The Pink Awareness Sled is donated to the Pink Ribbon
Riders to use as a raffle to generate funds for their mission.
Tickets will be available for purchase and a limited amount of
1,000 tickets will be printed. The 2007 winner of the first pink
Sled was Linda Scott of PA.
The Pink Ribbon Riders will continue
their mission of spreading awareness of breast cancer to both
men and women in the motor sports industry by attending many
power sports trade shows and snowmobile races this fall and winter.
The Snow Run events are planned in New York, Michigan, Minnesota
and adding two new locations of Wyoming and Wisconsin.
8-2-2007 FXR supporting Cancer Care and Support
Program
The single biggest story out of the FXR camp this year is its
Cancer care and support charity program.
Starting this season, $10 from the sale of all FXR women’s
jackets will be donated to various programs throughout Canada
and the United States supporting women living with cancer.
FXR’s goal is to help women and their families, as they
live with cancer. A few of the programs that will benefit from
this great program are:
The Kelly Shires Foundation - whose
fundraising efforts go directly to financially assisting affected
women and their families.
Pink Ribbon Riders - which hosts events
across the USA to assist men and women that have been diagnosed
with breast cancer in the daily financial struggles while creating
awareness of breast cancer to both men and women.
For more information on the program, contact Judy Friesen- judy@fxrracing.com
