PGA Tour Staff Member, Dan "Pohlcat" Pohl of Cleveland Golf/Srixon teams with Pink Ribbon Riders fundraising event in Marshall, Michigan.

 On Friday July 15th at the Medalist Golf Club in Marshall, Michigan current PGA Tour Staff Member of Cleveland Golf/Srixon and legendary PGA Tour Champion and Vardon Trophy winner and, Dan “Pohlcat” Pohl teams with the 4th Annual Pink Ribbon Riders Golf Classic and Sports Party to benefit the Pink Ribbon Riders.  The Pink Ribbon Riders© (PRR) are a Battle Creek based nonprofit organization that provides direct financial assistance to men and women diagnosed with breast cancer.

Dan “Pohlcat” Pohl will attend as an ambassador for PRR as well as interacting with golf participants for the day. Dan will make  a presentation to local breast cancer patients of Calhoun County who will receive their financial assistance gifts at the evening dinner party.

 The  event is open to men and women golfers and non golfers also with evening dinner party tickets.  A non traditional golf outing with cart decorating contests, best dressed theme outfit contests, live music and more makes this event one not to miss!

 More information on Dan “Pohlcat” Pohl:

Dan is a Michigan native who recorded over 70 top 10 finished throughout his 30 year career. Pohl lead the 1980 tour in driving with an average of 274.1 yards.  He won the Vardon Trophy in 1987 and was inducted into the Michigan Hall of Fame in May 2004.  And played on the Ryder Cup team in 1987.

The Pink Ribbon Riders mission is to promote breast cancer awareness in the motor sports industry for both men and women, while raising funds for those in need. In combining these two goals for our organization, we hope to bring people in the community closer as this disease not only affects those diagnosed but also those who love them. "Riding in honor and in memory of those we love".
