Answer: Yes. Pink Ribbon Riders is a 501 C(3) not-for-profit organization. And incorporated in the State of Michigan.

Where does the money go?

Update: 12/15/08:

Answer: As of 12/15/08 over 107 + people and many grass roots programs have been helped by the Pink Ribbon Riders.

Answer: Pink Ribbon Riders has a Breast Cancer Assistance Fund that is open to both men and women to apply to for help. Pink Ribbon Riders also when possible helps local volunteer run support groups. Our fundraising efforts are directed to a grass roots theory of people helping people.

As of March 2008, Pink Ribbon Riders has helped 40 people from states all over the USA with the PRR Breast Cancer Assistance Program. We can not share names with the public of who we have assisted as they are protected by HIPPA Rules. But, we often make public appearances with recipients as part of our awareness tour.

This program was established in the late fall of 2007 and has been available to anyone in the USA, simply by printing off an application form on the left side of our home page and completing the need information. The recipient than receives up to a $500.00 gift card to help assist in medical bills or what ever maybe needed during their recovery.

Pink Ribbon Rider volunteers also seek patients to assist with the fund in the specific states that we host “Snow Run” events in. Additionally, many grass roots projects such as survivor groups are assisted by the Pink Ribbon Riders. We actively search for programs that are assisting patients directly.

How can you help?
Answer: The Pink Ribbon Riders have many Snow Run events, ATV events, golf and motorcyle events throughout out the USA. We are always looking for volunteers to help at the events and companies that may have a product or a specific talent that would help in the Pink Ribbon Riders function of organizing the events.

if you would like to make a donation to help continue our efforts, below are a few questions and answers that we can provide to help you.

The generosity of our donors is critical as we continue our efforts to help breast cancer patients both men and women.

Why donate to the Pink Ribbon Riders?
Answer: We simply can't make a difference without you. We seek professional services to keep the costs of running the organization to a minimum. But we just simply can not do it with out you.

If I choose to donate to the Pink Ribbon Riders, how will my money be used?
Answer: Your donations will be used to support men and women in need, that have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Both men and women are encouraged to apply to the fund.

We try and help all of those that apply as long as fund are available.

Pink Ribbon Riders has a Breast Cancer Fund Assistance Program that allows men or women diagnosed with breast cancer apply for help. The assistance is given in a once a year up to $500 gift card. The recipient can then use the gift card to pay medical bills, gas money to treatments, or even for food.

Pink Ribbon Riders also looks for ways to support local support groups or survivor groups. Support groups help not only those diagnosed, but also those that are co-survivors. Funds raised are used to provide books and resources for the support groups.

Pink Ribbon Riders also provides free educational and medical resources to men and women at public appearances. Some of the materials are provided free to us to hand out, and some we may have to pay for. We try very hard to only seek materials that we can provide to the public with no cist to the Pink Ribbon Riders organization. We are not medical professionals, so we do pass forward information from credible organizations.

As a volunteer organization Pink Ribbon Riders currently only uses funds to pay for the minimal operating costs. Most of the services needed for the organization to operate are 100% donated.

We will continue to try work as hard as we can to use doanted services. There are times when services can ot be provided as donated.

Our goal is to run the organization as close to 80% to the cause and 20% to operating expenses. But we still in the winter of 2008, currently lack support of professional services donated such as:

printing company sponsors, office supply sponsors. attorney fees donated and much more..

We are very proud to say that from 2005 to 2007 we functioned on costs to function that were adsorbed by the foudners and volunteers.. so 100% went to the cause..

In a perfect world, research would have found a cure, but it still has not .. so Pink Ribbon Riders is here for the patient and the families.. and we will continue our mission.. and hope that you reading may have a contact to help us continue that mission of helping the patient directly.. .

Pink Ribbon Riders Mission Statement:
The Pink Ribbon Riders mission is to promote awareness of breast cancer in the motor sports industry for both men and women while raising funds for those in need. In combining these two goals for our organization we hope to bring people in the community closer as this disease not only affects those diagnosed but also those who love them. "Riding in honor, and in memory, of those we love".

Can you help us make a connection?

There are many costs with holding an event, and the Pink Ribbon Riders try very hard to search out companies and those who can help eliminate costs so that a higher percentage of the funds raised go directly back into the mission on helping others.

If you have a company, or know of someone that would like to help offset the costs of an event, please contact pinkribbonriders@yahoo.com. In kind services are needed as well as event s ponsorships are at all levels.
